Beneficial Reuse
Some wastes or by-products can be diverted from landfill and instead be used as a raw material in some other process. This process is referred to as “beneficial reuse” in the waste industry. There are benefits to both parties in such instances by eliminating or reducing disposal costs on one end and reducing or eliminating costs to purchase raw materials on the other end.
