LEED

LEED is an acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.  LEED was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.  LEED gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings’ performance.  LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

Whether you are looking to be LEED Certified as an EB (Existing Building) or a NC (New Construction), SWS can assist you with determining your baseline for waste generation and diversion.  SWS partners with water and energy companies that can focus on those areas, while we specifically focus on your waste profile.

SWS also can help analyze and implement a Green Purchasing Program for your company, helping in obtaining additional LEED points.
