What We Do
Most people by now are familiar with the 3 R’s of waste minimization called the waste hierarchy – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. SWS is part of a growing effort within the environmental sustainability discipline that works on the “fourth R” – Rethink. Our core business is to rethink processes, technologies and behaviors to find solutions to our customers’ problems with managing their wastes and recyclables.
The issues we help with include:
- high disposal costs or low recycling revenues
- finding outlets for hard to recycle materials
- finding alternative treatment technologies
- evaluating work flow and logistics that lead to current waste volumes
- planning for a new facility
- or searching for a beneficial use for by-products
These are among the many topics that we deal with daily. SWS doesn’t promote any one technology or vendor. We evaluate each opportunity on a case-by-case basis and determine the best solution for each situation.
